The series "Game of Thrones" tells about the harsh times of the Middle Ages, but in some other reality. There are no usual changes of seasons. Instead, there is "summer", which lasts indefinitely and brings with it peace and quiet, and "winter" - terrible periods when cold and night sow terror. Then the "white walkers" come - otherworldly creatures that destroy all life. Who they are, no one knows, but winter is coming, and soon the heroes will have to clash with evil.
But until this happens, the characters of the series solve their problems. They are overcome by doubts, passions, greed, an irresistible craving for power. The mainland of Westeros is shaking with hostility and intrigue for the throne. Who will take the Iron Throne after the death of King Robert Baratheon? Is his wife the cunning, prudent and cold Cersei Lannister, or perhaps the miraculously surviving children of the deposed king Viserys and Daenerys Targaryen? The struggle is in full swing, the innocent and honest are dying in palace intrigues, but the desired power does not bring happiness...
